Hi all, first time mini owner here! Over the weekend i purchased an 02 Mini S with just over 100k miles. Ive known the owner for a long time and he has taken great care of this car.
I have driven this car several years ago and loved it. Since he recently decided to part with it, i jumped on it. I come from a more American Muscle background (V8 Mustangs and Camaros) so its a bit of a change going to a FWD 4 cylinder.
Looking forward to learning more about these little guys and enjoying my new ride!

From just across your northern boarder, greetings. If you are looking for a really good time and place to get acquainted with your MINI and fellow MINI persons, go no further than (think Stefon/Weekend Update/SNL):

Join us at MITO October 24 - 27 in Eureka Springs. So far there are four from our club going and one of them is leading one of the best day trips on the weekend, Galen's Elk Run. You also want to put together a killer Halloween costume for the Saturday night Halloween party. See ya there?

Thanks! Good to be a part of it!
I must say tho, i am a MOD-Addict. I literally have to do something, anything to this car ! lol
Im thinking ill start out with the short throw shifter and a 15% pulley.
Id also really like to find a way to hook up an AUX port so i can listen to my MP3's.
Those will probably be the first things on the list. Then i want to find me a good DA buffer to really detail this thing.

I've had one of these for 4 years now with narry a swirl or hologram. They've everything you need to keep everything showroom bright, not just the exterior.

Thank you, all of my family, inlcuding my cousin who teaches/ coaches in Moore are ok. The support this state has recieved from others has been unbelievable. Its awesome to see that people really do care, and as an Oklahoman, i think i speak for all the others when i say thank you to everyone who has already helped/donated/contributed.

Im putting together a to do list.
After browsing the forums, ive found a couple maintenance things i think i should go ahead and do.
Change the S/C oil, and while im doing that ill probably end up doing an Ignition and S/C power pack from ALTA at the same time. 15% or 17% pulley (cant decide which), Alta Tensioner Stop, new belt, MSD Coil Pak, Magnecore Wires and one step colder plugs. Ill also probably end up doing the oil and a coolant flush.

Before you get ahead of yourself, please do something about the black skirting. It really needs to be BLACK. Here are the two products you need, the best there is, from Octaneguy. Yes, they are expensive on the outset but used properly they go a long way and you will love the results. Sounds like you've got a lot planned and good luck with all your mods.

I'm glad you went there Fly'n Brick. I was going to say something, but I thought I would be nice for just a little bit, then drop the bomb. Thanks for taking the pressure off.
