Going to be washing/detailing the car tomorrow.

I think i have a process down
Wash Car
Clean/prep trim
Clay bar car
Clean/Rinse Wheels
Wash car again
Dry with Eagle One Wax As You Dry (After doing some reading tho, im going to be ordering/using Hydro after this one)
Apply Trim Restorer to Trim
Done!

How does that look?

Believe it or not, contrary to traditional mythology which dictates washing from the top down, I would suggest doing the black trim first a couple of days prior to the rest of the process. To be sure, check with Richard (Octaneguy) on that. He will be more than glad to help. One other thing, the quality of your microfiber is very important too. No cheap dime-store junk but quality car care product from Richard, Griot's or another top detailing operation you feel comfortable with. It makes a difference. Also, beware the terminal disease, 'OCD detailing fussbudgetry', it is terminal with no known cure. I know, I've got it.

If the black plastic isn't to bad try gently using a heat gun on the plastic, you'll be amazed by the result, just be careful not to melt it!

I had a mk1 VW Golf GTI restored and the plastic was all grey, I was all up for replacing it all before my paint guy restored all the plastic by using this technique!

Welcome to the wonderful world of MINI echastain88! Hubby and I are in Lawton and are always cruising through the Wichita Wildlife Refuge and other areas. We are starting up a club (No Coast Motoring) for those who want to join us when we cruise, want to learn about mods, and more! It's in the beginning stages but we are excited about it. We try to cruise at least once a week and will be picking up some steam this summer as we are trying to plan a run to a few spots. We are also planning to attend MITO this Oct! If you aren't busy tomorrow, I am meeting up with the OKMINI group (go join if you haven't - OKMINI.com) to cruise up to Tulsa to meet up with the Midtown Mini's group (midtownminis.us). Again, congrats on the addition! She needs a name now!

I might be picking up an 08 this weekend. A little sketchy considering the issues I keep reading about. So I will have to give it a good once over. Im adding it to my other bmw products, a 08 135i and 87 325e.
