Hello from Charleston, SC - 1st Post
Living on the cost of SC demands a fun convertible to drive. For the last 5 years I've had a 92 BMW 325iC that I've enjoyed but a good friend had a 2005 Chili Red Convertible Mini that was his toy. He drove it sparingly and garaged it always. He finally decided he wanted a Z4 so I bought the Mini. 28K miles on a 2005! It looks new inside and out. I move from an auto trans and a manual top to a manual trans and auto top plus about 10 more MPG. Driving more with the top down than up now! I like to get my hands dirty on occasion (had to with the 92 Bimmer). I've added stripes to the bonnet myself to see if this is the direction I want to go ($9 clearance item and an hour of time) and I swapped the TSW Kyalami wheels from one side of the bimmer to see if I might want to keep these when I sell it. What do you think?
Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. I'm sure you will get a great deal of enjoyment out of driving with miles of head room. Thanks for including photos. It looks well taken care of. Enjoy.
I'm def a fan of those wheels from your Bimmer. I lived in Mt. Pleasant for 3 years- just moved to the Upstate a few months ago but still go to CHS every month so make sure you give a wave to the PW/B R53 with viper stripes.
