Just bought my first MINI (and first all-my-own car ever): 2013 Hardtop, Chili Red with black, and black bonnet stripes. Cold Weather package and premium 2 package (gotta have that sunroof). Although I wanted to customize my own, I couldn't wait, and ended up falling in love with this one straight off the lot (after they promised to put the bonnet stripes on, of course)!







Picked it up on Thursday, and I've already put nearly 500miles on it, just motoring and socializing. Love that other MINI owners wave when we see each other!

I love this car - I park it at the far end of every lot, wipe any mud from the interior (and there's a lot of that up here in VT) as soon as I see it, drive it more cautiously than any car before. I tell it good night when I close up for the night. Am I crazy? :D I don't even regret having to put premium fuel in the tank - the mpg performance is so incredible, it costs less per mile than my last car! WIN!

I've pined for a MINI since the reboot with BMW, and never thought I'd be able to get one. My dad is a long time BMW enthusiast, so he's just about as excited as I am (I still haven't let him drive it, though I bet he's considered sneaking it out)!

Welcome aboard!!! I understand the talking to the MINI. A little more than 2 years after picking up the Dread Pirate, I still do the same! Actually, I still turn around for a last glance as I'm walking away.

nothing like giving your baby some loving is the Chili Red a pearlescent color/paint that changes in the lighting conditions? if so, now i almost wish i went w/that instead of my Lightning Blue..

Nice ride. Looks a lot like the one my wife and I picked up last week. She's been calling it Ruby, the Little Jewel. Isn't having a new car great.

 

Chili Red is technically a "flat" red, but it's one of those true BMW colors - they look great even without pearlescence. I wasn't a fan until I saw it in person - it's got so much kick, I couldn't help but love it!

 

LOL. I had to claim it as mine somehow, right? They had a sign at the dealership specifically saying NOT to lick the MINIs, so a kiss it must be!
