Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi since I just created an account on NAM. Or as I should say FINALLY made an account. I've been using advice from you guys for quite a while now whenever I searched something Mini related on google.
Well, I'm from Metairie, LA, which is right outside New Orleans. Right now, however, I'm in Hawaii because I'm active duty in the Marine Corps. I bought my 06 Cooper S back in Nov 2011 and it's been a lot of fun so far. Not too many mods so far, but I did get a custom cat-back exhaust from Warner Muffler in Oceanside, Ca when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, and just a few days ago I installed my DDM cold air intake. Looking forward to learning more from yall and getting more ideas for customizing my baby.

I am a new Oahu mini owner as well. My wife has had two previous models and traded up to a Countryman S. Of course I got jelly and have been looking to get a better fuel efficent car. On Saturday we went back to the dealer and worked a deal for the '12 "Demo" they had on the lot. I say demo because they were not selling it since they had no other Countymans on lot to show. Ironically wife wanted that one originally but they wouldn't sell it so we got her the S.

 

Hi and welcome from Perth Western Australia. Love the subtle mods to the exterior, the 'have to look twice to check' stuff. I guess you get to use the camp workshop when you need - that's a plus!! Is rust a problem on such a small island - salt spray etc??

did you have a morris before or was that someone else with the same sig pic as you? thought i saw last summer someone on island was selling one.

 

Must have been someone else. I got mine new in '09
