Happy Friday to you!!!!!!
Hey GG,
Sorry to hear about the troubles with your order but they have to be with your MA because I ordered my car on the 19th of November, I was told production would begin on December 5th, recieved a call from my MA on December 5th and was told to my suprise, production was complete (that makes it a Wednesday built car) and the car was headed to port. My MA would call me every week and give me the status of where the car was until it arrived, even gave me the call sign and name of the ship that it was on so I could track it. When he called me the week it was to arrive he said when they got it they would need a day to get it ready, well he called on friday Janurary 4th and asked what time I could get there on the 5th, since its about 3 hours away I let him know it'll be around noon and he also sent me these pics that evening. It looks white in these pics but the car is actualy silver in person.

Suprisingly, I was able to get the nephew up early that morning to get on the road since my better half was sick and would not be able to make the trip. When we walked in around 10ish or so he asked where she was because she needed to sign also since they ran the credit app with both of us, he was saying I could not get the original .9, it would be 1.9, so I told him never mind, I would just write him a check. (I was just going to finance 10k of it anyway just to have some sort of note, its been over ten years since we've had any and I thought it would be a good idea to have some type of current credit on the books. The way things are going with taxes and all, don't know how long the money will last.) When I said that he said just a sec he would check with the finance guy and came back with never mind its ok. This is the dealership in Baton Rouge and they have been great for this first time Mini buyer. The 200 mile trip back home was a blast and of course since It was a fresh engine not wanting to hold a steady speed for any extended period of time I would just slow down a bit and let the nephew get out of site then blast thru the gears and coast a while till I caught back up with him when there wern't any other cars around of course (didn't even get caught runnin up to 80 / 90 or so for a few seconds.) These are the only pics I have so far because when we crossed the state line on the way home, the bottom fell out of the clouds and its been raining ever since till yesterday so I have to wash it before any more are taken. Now, when I was configuring the car I wanted she didn't care about what I got and now she wants to take it from me, guess we'll have to get another one set up the way she wants it so I can keep mine
. Sorry to be so long winded.
Oh,
I thought fog lights are standard on s models unless youare talking about the rear ones.

Nope, the '06 lost it's engine with only 60k miles on her. Actually sold her for nearly 8k with a blown engine so that didn't feel so bad. There was an electrical problem with her too. I actually had a lot of problems with her - hard to believe that I want another one but I do. She was the most enjoyable car I have ever had. Slightly possessed but so much fun!

If you wouldn't mind could you explain why
. Its good you sold it for a decent amount tho but still crazy.
What we were told was that the wrong type of oil was put in the last time the oil was changed, as well as there was a hort in the elctrical system which made my dome light act weird as well as made it so NO alerts came through (meaning the check engine light never came on) --- combine the two and 6k miles after my last oil change, my engine blew.
It was a VERY
sad day.
