Hello All!

We purchased a used 2011 Mini Countryman S on Saturday with 20000 miles on it. Absolutely love it so far. I have a warranty question though and searching the forums has not yielded an answer.

The dealer sold the car to us and stated the factory warranty was good until June of 2015. Does this car still have the Maintenance warranty until I reach 36000 miles? Can I extend the maintenance warranty and the regular factory warranty as long as it is done before they expire?

I called our Mini dealer, but they were less than helpful and exceptionally annoyed that I bought a used Mini and not a new Mini from them. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Yes, every car has free maintenance until 3/36 is reached.

 

So in the case of Mini's do the warranties follow the car and not the original owner?

 

I believe all factory warranties follow the car, not the owner.
