Meet the Revoked MINI
Hey guys,
My name is Jeremy. Known by my last name on some other sites as Guzman but for some reason my account I made here a while back is not allowing me to post. Regardless...
Bought my CR/B 2011 convertible on August 15, 2012. It was a CPO vehicle used by an exec at BMW. The car had about 6300 miles on it when I purchased which is good considering it was priced at their mistaken mileage of 10,209. Got some new floor mats and iPhone cable, bonnet stripes and a black wheel swap done pro bono.
We will be livening up the paint some tomorrow. It has one little spot I think needs wet sanding. Then on Saturday it has a date with the window tint guy to get 5% on. Illegal here, but in my profession I can get away with that lol.
Anyway, I'll add an iPhone pic I took, and after the stuff is done this weekend I'll take some scenic shots. Look forward to meeting some of you and seeing what knowledge you all have that I can dig in to!

Congratulations on your new MINI.
Nice looking!
Before taking sand paper to your car, be sure to assess if a less drastic action will fix the blemish. I have found that a Porter Cable DA (or something similar) in conjuntion with a cutting polish, then stepping to lighter polishes often does the trick.

Nice car! Hope you get a high score on the openometer (or whatever that things is).
I've used rubbing compound, then polishing compound, and finally wax to remove plenty of blemishes in all sorts of cars over the years. I've never had to go with sand paper, which is good because messing with paint too much scares the crap out of me.

Thanks Someone,
My friend is very good with his stuff and has quite an arsenal of tools. Unfortunately we tried today and it's not coming out with polishing. I took some macro shots and we looked at them and it looks like the clear in that one spot is messed up. It's alright though. My bonnet stripes will get removed and I'll go a different route with the stripes to cover that spot. Can't wait for the Di-Noc to get here
Had the windows tinted today also. 5%. Have the car running with the heat in in the sun for a few minutes to bump up the temp to help the adhesive bond. It looks sick. I'll throw some pics up soon.
