Finally time to join up!

I've been lurking on the forums for over a year and finally felt it was time to join up! I'm going to the dealership tomorrow afternoon to put pen to paper and order my 2013 Cooper Hatchback! I've been researching for what feels like forever and am finally taking the plunge.

After endlessly annoying anyone within the sound of my voice about how much I wanted to get a MINI, I thought my 27th birthday(a few days ago) was the perfect time to finally pull the trigger on what I'm sure will be the start of a beautiful symbiotic relationship with a new MINI!

See you guys on the forums for the foreseeable future and in a few months, on the road too!

Welcome, and good luck.

I lurked a bit last fall, joined up and interacted a bit, then ordered my MINI in Feb 2012. Delivered late March, having a blast!

...and we're off to a bad start.

Placed my order this afternoon and already have a production number, is it usually that fast?

It can be; it means that you have a place in line.

If you haven't already, there's a great resource on the forum, the "How to Track Your MINI" thread. It'll give you the whole blow-by-blow for the sequence of events and likely timing. Along with, lots of comments from what people have actually experienced.

Hi Andrew

I've been researching my fair share as well for the past couple of months, and decided for my college graduation present I wanted a MINI I placed my order on June 9, 2012 and as of today my MINI "Black Mamba" is awaiting transportation. In my case I live in Puerto Rico and takes about 8 - 10 weeks for delivery

I went with the base hardtop with baker street package, because down here vehicles pay 30% more of there MSRP on TAX ;Therefore, I ended up paying $29K after negotiating price for a NON S model.

Good thing is (for what I've read) I'm getting an awesome car

Enjoy motoring friend
