"Those waiting for a 2013" Support Group
It seems like a seven-day-a-week operation. My car left the factory on Friday and was loaded onto the Asian King early this afternoon (Sunday). The ship sailed shortly thereafter from Southampton after picking up 145 Minis to be offloaded at Halifax and 227 destined for New York.
The BMW plant in Munich runs the same too. Every car off of either line is pre-purchased. Amazing.
My car started production on 4/23 with an estimated comletion of 5/2. I'm getting a little nervous that my car will arrive to the dealer while on vacation for Memorial Day. I guess I will have a clear idea by this weekend if my car is able to get on a ship. Congrats to all the cars that are currently being transported to the states.
I'm with you on that. I'll keep good thoughts for both of us.

Moving Along!
Just got confirmation my Countryman has made it to production with an estimated completion date of 5/10. This is moving way quicker than my 2005! Exciting to know that half way across the globe my car is coming to life. I hope it finds a ship quick as we are trying to beat the spring cleaning discount deadline of delivery by 7/1/2013.
Mine just delivered to the dealer and it will be ready to pick up this evening. According to my MA, it has a 20mph block in the computer, so they load the regular program and any updates. The suspension has blocks in it and the car has plastic on it. Stuff I had not heard of. Anyway, I will be picking it up this evening. Woohoo!
All vehicles loaded at the same location going to the same destination have the same booking number. Once you have the booking number for a particular voyage and destination, you can search on it and find out how many vehicles are booked under that number. You can also do a wild card search for VINs and see what other vehicles are at the port and where they're going.
Mines is in paint. The estimated completion is still 5/2. I was checking the shipping schedule and the next ship on WW heading to Baltimore is Tamesis on 5/9 with an arrival of 5/17. The car will sit around waiting for the ship for a few days but its moving along. I still have hopes of receiving my car from the dealer by 5/21. If not, I will have to wait and pick up on 5/28 after I get back from my vacation.

If the estimated completion date doesn't change after 5/2, try calling 866-ASK-MINI and ask to speak to a representative (forget the automated system!). You'll need to give them your production number and/or the VIN (can't remember which). When my car's ECD was several days past, I called and found out that it was already finished and on its way to the ship!
I'm as enthusiastic to get mine next week as I was with the previous 2 MINIs. However with two scrambling youngins, work swampage, and Iron Man 3 to squeeze in between rides, the time is flyin' by...
Yay! A motoring buddy. Too bad we'll be crossing the ocean separately; I'm coming to Port Hueneme (CA)
My Coupe is on it's way to the docks today! Not booked on a ship yet that I can see, I'm kinda hoping it misses the May 7th boat out of Southampton because the next one isn't until the 12th and that fits much better with my hoped-for delivery schedule
Mine is on the Asian King as well. The AIS technology used for tracking only works within a certain range of a shore-based station, so there won't be another update until the vessel is closer to arriving here in Halifax. With a scheduled ETA at the local autoport of early Monday I'll probably start looking again for updates Sunday morning.
the automated system said body shop for me today again and my date is the 4th. I wonder if I'm in the paint shop too - we're on the same track so that makes sense. All that really matters now is the ship!

Which ship are you hoping to make? Mine is the Tulane on may8

Today is the day that my MCS lands in NY!
