William, you are absolutely correct. She will be perfect. She was of course designed perfectly by me..

I'm praying that the line of problems get cut before she boards the ship headed home!!!

She made it by the skin of her nose. Was received booked and loaded within an hour and the Topeka took off soon after. Thanks for the finger cross, I am sure it helped. Was hoping we would be shipmates :(

My new Clubman is finally built, and waiting at the port! The schedule so far:

  • Nov 14th - Ordered
  • Dec 18th - Production started
  • Jan 21st - Entered body shop
  • Jan 23rd - Entered paint shop
  • Jan 29th - Production finished & delivered to port
I haven't yet tried to figure out what boat it'll be on, but I'm guessing I'll see it sometime in mid-March.

So bummed, I missed it by one day. My vehicle is on it's way to port. It was "supposedly" picked up today and is on a train.

I still think it's hillarious, the "Owner's Lounge" still has it as "scheduled for Production" - "Ask - Mini automated" has it in the "Paint Shop" and a "Live person" (only after getting agitated with her) finally told me it went through Quality assurance and was delivered to the carrier: World Assignment today. Oh, and my MA, they said they didn't have any news on what stage my car was in. So full of (I can't say that word on here)!

So, the wait for a ship now starts. It looks as if another ship doesn't leave for another week. I think one leaves on the 6th?

Close Twstgrp, they lightening blue was a close second. The studies have shown without a doubt that the Chili Red "Convertible" Cooper S is definitely the FASTEST!!! teeheeheeheeheehee

I honestly don't envy you folks who have to wait the extra days for shipment to the West Coast...

Goodness, your wait has been longer than mine and that is almost unbelievable. And you seem so ok with it. I need to find your patience

We're finally in production!

Congrats to all of you that are almost afloat!!

Just got an email from my MA, which I immediately confirmed with ASK-MINI. Production started either yesterday or today (she said that it's listed as the 29th, but dates can vary by one day) and date of production (finish) is February 7th! Yay! I'm so thrilled! Being that was in an accident and totaled my previous car on Christmas Eve, I've been without a car for a while, so I'm extra impatient. Sharing my husband's truck is nice, but the driving experience just isn't doing it for me.

So, my next step is to figure out which ship I may get on so I can count the days!

Question: Do you guys think I'll make the Tombarra, leaving 2/11/12 if my production date is the 7th? Fingers crossed! Thanks!

Woo Hoo!!
Kim

Hi GG! Well last night was the night I finally took her home! Woo Hoo! What a great drive to work this morning.

I will certainly get some pix up this weekend - it's dark when I drive to work and dark when I get home so no decent photos...too busy trying to make money to pay for this cool car!

Thanks to you and everyone else for all the kind words along the way - can't wait to show it off a little! I know yours won't be far behind and I'll be seeing your pix soon!

Should be plenty of time... It doesn't take long for the car to get loaded on the train and brought down to Southampton...

Where/how do you find out the ship schedules out of Southampton? Ask MINI is now saying my estimated completion is Feb 4, so I'd like to see what ship I might possibly be on too. So excited!

It looks like after a few weeks of stagnation, everyone is seeing some progress.
Mine started production this week and is slated for a 2/7 completion.

You can search for the shipping schedule to your destination here: http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/
Search by port (departure: South Hampton)

There is a great thread with all of the details about tracking your Mini order :https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html

If you're completed by March 11, you'll probably be on TOMBARRA with me!

Hi Kim~
I'm as positive as "I" can be that you'll make the Tombara. THey say it only takes 1-2 days to get it from the factory to the port.

Here is to being shipmates and pick up mates as well

hmmm, i think we might be looking at different studies. IN my world, where the sky is purple, the Chili Red Cooper S convertible is the fastest car on the planet!

That would have been pretty cool except my vehicle inquiry report says I'm coming in to Baltimore.
