@spinlock, oh I'm going out of town for the holidays... and the dealership is two hour drive from here so it takes some arrangements. I think the car will be in the dealership by 17-19ish...

Hi all,

Joining the waiting club! Order officially placed on Monday and got my production number on Tuesday. Hoping to have her by the beginning of February with luck.

My first MINI and I'm very excited! Coming from an '04 Passat that I've (not so affectionately) dubbed "the Money Pit." Hoping the MINI turns out better.

Congrats to those who just got/are getting theirs now! Best of luck to everyone else for an awesome holiday gift.

spinlock -- please keep me updated how long it takes to get to SA from the VDC - I'm guessing a week or two

 

My MA, a personal friend, told me 3-5 days, but not to hold her to that. She said shes supposed to tell me 2 weeks to cover their butts.

It's so close! Looks like I need to liquidate my current wheels ASAP.

Anyone have any idea how fast the WW tracking info is updated? At what point should I give up the hope for getting on a particular boat? "No records found" are ugly, ugly words right now.

fairly standard interior. the Green Park does have the "oval on the door" and the horizontal dash piece in white. I thought those were cool touches. They will draw the exterior color inside.

With all the waiting I have played more with the configuator online and came up with a look that I like and with more thought I may have done something more to the interior (red accents like stitching etc). Or the Highclass Grey with silver stripes and lots of Silver and Chrome detail. It looks so nice. Oh well. Need to stop second guessing and enjoy the heck out of it once it is here inthe flesh. Maybe that's for the "next" time.

 

We tossed and turned before deciding on the Hyde Park, BUT had we chosen the Green Park the interior would have been the toffee accents.

On another note, I kept looking for WW to do the shipping and then, voila, out nowhere and a day ahead of actual loading K-Lines picked up the ship. The Track and Trace works, but be sure you've entered the correct VIN. I have it saved on the desktop notes and copy and paste it in each time.

And, as others have pointed out OL lags behind. Cocoa is on a ship Baltimore bound and OL still thinks she's at the port waiting for a ship to show up.

 

I found there was at least a one day delay. Queen Sapphire sailed on 12/12 and I finally found out our car was on it this morning! It went from Bremerhaven to Zeeberge before I knew it made the ship. Should be in NY/NJ 12/26. Yipee

 

Just got confirmation this morning our Countryman All 4 is on the Queen Sapphire.
Ordered on November 8 - should be in NY/NJ 12/26! Took a day or so for it to register that it was on board.

Whew, I was really worried.

 

I was looking at the boat schedules for WW for the jersey city port. To give me a estimate of when the car may be loaded etc. What is the difference between the inboard outboard schedule tho?

 

KathsMINI, where did you get your confirmation, if I may ask? I've checked the OL, the ask-MINI line (automated and live), the ww web site, and the NYK web site, and I cannot get any type of confirmation, just that my Countryman is in transit. My dealer also could not provide any info about the ship, e.g., when I texted her today. Just curious! I feel like I'm missing out.....

if your mini is going to the west coast it will not be on the queen sapphire. tiger is going to the west coast and is loading up now. if your car is going to the west coast - like mine, looks like we may have to wait a couple of days to see if it shows up on the ww site.

 

Officially on board the Queen Sapphire. ETA in NYC: 12-26.

(although the ship on the map still appears as being in Germany...I think that's because that's the last port of departure it had. It should be leaving Southampton tomorrow I think.)

 

I have also been tracking the Chesapeake Highway...arrived in Brunswick on 12/13. My CA told me 10 days from VPC in Brunswick to Houston pickup. Noticed you're in San Antonio. I ordered on oct 20...so expecting a pickup date of Dec 23rd or else! We may also be placed on same car carrier as Countrymans like to stick together. I'm a little worried about customs delays, as I met a VW owner that ordered her's last oct...goot hung up in customs over holidays....then she got her VW on Jan 15...OUCH!!!

I requested the carrier name, tracking info, and estimated departure date by e-mail from my CA. Let's see if she responds.

Can you do the same and we keep each other informed?

Hey everyone, I am new to the group, having ordered my new Mini about a month ago (Spice Orange, Base, sunroof, spoiler, white bonnet stripes). I have to tell you the wait is killing me!! They should have some type of name for this condition such as MINI-WAIT-INITIS or something like that. Well, at least I found you guys, a support group always helps! So, I keep checking the Owner Resources to "Track my Baby", currently it is En Route to the Distribution center although, it has been in that status for a week now. It was waiting to ship for about 10 days prior to this. I know many of you have gone through this, so, thanks in advance for listening and supporting me!

One other thing, I owned a 2003 MINI S prior to this in Lazer Blue, it was my favorite car I ever owned, hence, my decision to repurchase another MINI. I searched all over looking for a MINI I could both afford and give me the options I wanted. For some reason however, I found the two dealers I live near, (Tempe and Scottsdale, AZ) mainly had automatics on the lot. Automatics?? really?? I just don't understand why you would want an automatic MINI, no offense to you Automatic owners, but, doesn't it take a little fun out of driving a MINI? Anyway, that is why I had to order custom, to get the color and transmission I wanted. So...now I wait while all of you enjoy your MINIs, please think about my cause...as some of you have gone through it already, I'm sure the wait will be worth it in the end.
