(mostly a repost but thought I would post in the new guy area as well)

My wait is over and I brought home my 2012 Mini Cooper S today. I can now understand why people can't wait to get past that first 1200 miles so you can really give the car some freedom.

I'm enjoying the MCSa and am glad I made that choice. Now I have about a year or so to decide on what I will do with the exterior to add my own flare to it.

So, how do people get the custom pics attached to the bottom of their signature blocks? The cartoonish mini's?

Time to get back on the road! Too bad I need to go to bed so I can function at work tomorrow!

Does anyone have recommendations on companies or places to go to get stripe ideas? I'm looking for something sleek and not loud, but custom.

There are a couple of threads on here dedicated to stripes. I know one is called "show me your stripes" - just search & you should find it pretty readily. As for places to get stripes, there are some companies you can order from (Vinyl Styles, Aesthetic Creations, and Cooper Flags come to mind as possibilities), but you also might consider a local vendor. I got my stripes done from a reputable tint & vinyl place in my area & am very very happy with the outcome. Or, if you're a DIY-type person, you could order some & do the install yourself.

You might also Google (or look at the Club Directory) for a local/regional MINI club to meet up with. Tons of fun, great camaraderie, and you can probably get some recommendations on stripes from your fellow MINIacs.
