8 weeks and counting down!

Hi Everyone. I've been reading some great information on this site for a while, but now that I have signed the dotted line and have a MINI on the way, I figured I should become official.

I have a new Cooper S Hardtop coming in about 8 weeks. Chile red, black top, sunroof, black leather seats, anthracite headliner, premium sound, bluetooth, automatic (sorry, I'm too much of a multi-tasker for a stick).

In the meantime, I'm planning several modifications to get it just how I like it: tinted windows and head/tail lights, black wheels with a red pinstripe, chrome deletion, red seatbelts and other red interior accents. I've found a lot of helpful information so far, and I'll do a little more research before I start asking questions. Thanks to all of the contributors!!

Sounds really nice! Hard to go wrong with red / black! Congrats! Black or silver wheels? Sport suspension or Sport Pkg?

Thanks! I debated getting spice orange for while, but I ended up going classic. And it's much easier to find aftermarket parts to match red. I ordered black wheels, but I plan on replacing them with some aftermarket ones-- Black with a red ring around the rim. I didn't add any packages or performace upgrades. Just upgrading to the turbo was enough for me.

It is a fun process... sometimes it's hard waiting, and waiting even more. So far it looks like my Mini is going fairly quickly and might make it to me in less than 6 weeks... and even that seems like a long time to wait for my LuLu.

I'm glad you didn't have to wait so long. Lulu Mine doesn't have a name yet...
