Changing out the hood scoop on a 2009 S

wondering what all is involved in changing the factory hood scoop on my S to a chrome version, seems simple but just not sure.

Supposed to be easy just make sure you buy the hood scoop heat shield or that scoop will melt

Should be the same as my 07. One torque screw (plastic), remove it. There are about 8 little clips. Just use something to slip between the scoop and the metal bonnet and carefully pry upward. If I remember correctly they aren't really clips but a plastic pin with a **** on the end that sticks into another plastic hole insert.

Hood scoop heat shield? Thinking of picking up the JCW CF scoop... but would still like the heat shielding you are referring to. Any addtional info appreciated.

Don't think you need it for the CF scoop but here is what I have:

I see the heat shields listed with the scoops online , there is a fabric insulator on the bonnet now, whats the diff between the new heat shield on line and the one on there now? Thanks for your reply. : )
