Greetings everyone!

I'm new on the board but I've always been interested in owning and driving a Mini. I'm a nut for cars, motorcycles and firearms (not necessarily in that order) and I've been enjoying them for about 20 or so years. I used to be a BMWCCA member and part-time Car Control Clinic instructor but then I went crazy, sold my BMWs and bought a Land Rover Discovery. D'oh!

Sold the Disco and I just bought a used (but not abused) 2002 Mini Cooper S in Electric Blue from a nice couple who took car of it and had every record of anything that they did with it (service-wise at least). So far I'm extremely pleased and I plan to do some auto-xing with it this season.

I'm also a motorcycle fan and I've been through as many bikes as I have cars over the years so my passion usually get split between the two. I'm hoping that the knowledge and experience of everyone here rubs off on me and I'm eager to learn as much as I can about this little car. I hope to get to meet lots of you someday and probably do some events as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll actually post up some pics after I take a few. I should have on day 1 but I was busy cleaning it (it was already pretty damned clean) and just appreciating the design. Plus it's so much more fun than my old, porky Discovery. I think I'm going to like this car and this forum.
