While tracking my MINI tonight, I checked the shipping company, the boat left dock, but on my status it says "Returned to shipper" Anyone experience this? Im just trying to figure out what the heck happened, Ill try my MA tomorrow and see if he has any idea or can find out for me.
Anyone see this before? Help!!

This probably isnt what you want to hear, but Ive seen people have that happen before and it meant they were booked on a boat, but the boat filled up and they didnt make it. Hope for your sake that is not the case though, I know this waiting is killer!

 

Well,that is a little better than I was thinking, I was thinking it was damaged or something, I guess that sort of sets my mind at ease slightly, doesnt help with me waiting longer,but it beats the alternative. Thanks for that bit of info, it was going very quick and smooth up till now, so this is only a minor setback if thats really the case.

no problem! Someone else might have another thought on what that means, but seems someone recently got that message and it meant there was no room on the boat. Hope you catch the next one!

 

A quick search of NAM brought up this recent threadits due to a full ship.

 

I spoke with my MA today, he said that there wasnt even a record of it being sent to the port, oh well! He also ordered a car 4 weeks before me, and his car was held at the port for damage, so I guess Im in better shape than him anyway.
I guess its back to waiting (not so) patiently for me

 

The ship was probably full. Just remember most people ordering custom cars have no idea what is going on and just wait for the phone call to say it's arrived! I sometimes think all the tracking options we have just add more stress ;-)

 

Stressfull...it can be!! I ordered Molly on my 45th Birthday, it took 8 LONG weeks for her to be Built, be Loaded on a Ship, Traverse the Panama Canal, I even have a pic. of the Mother Ship (Trianon) going through the Canal, and make it to the Dealership, where as soon as I knew she was there I had to G-O and S@@ her...exactly 1 week prior to Delivery!!

I utilized all of the Online options available at the time, and MINIUSA, talking to a live person is IMO the best way to get the most up to date info. available!!

 

@7t-onemonte: I just experienced this with my order. The way it went down for me was after digging around when I was returned to shipper, I found out that when my car went into production, they booked a ship for it. So the shipping company receives it and checks it in. When the boat actually loads they cross check all of their inventory and of the car isn't there yet or the boat is full, you'll get the returned to shipper post. My car never was actually at the docks when they returned it. Just the paperwork. But I got on the ship 2 weeks later and my car is now roughly a full days travel southwest of the Azores. Hoping for delivery by dec 22nd. Good luck with yours. This waiting is not fun, but I'm sure the payoff will be. :-)

Ordered a Mini Cooper S Eclipse Gray/Black roof and bonnet stripes. 6 speed manual, 17" Black Conical wheels,and heated seats. Nothing too fancy, but its exactly how I wanted it!
