About Time! 1982-2011

In 1982 I bought my first mini, a little orange 1000cc number my first ever car. Licence plate was YYX800H, I think it was a 1970/71 Min. It was followed up by 9 more mini's of all makes and models, 998 -cooper, 1071's's, several 1000's, an awful 1000cc -Auto in Poop brown, with a light brown full vinyl roof!! I even hit a tree at about 65mph in Weybridge Surrey in a 998 cooper (de-seamed) and survived to tell the tale.

Then all the other vehicles followed, but the love for the min' never faded.
Now 29 years after my first I'm happy to say i'm returning to owning a min' a dark grey MCS. Good times, my 9 and 5yo's love it and fight over who get's in it first. Never experienced that with the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

All is good again, trouble is I can't get this stupid grin off my pie hole when i'm driving it.

Life is Good!

Kids?

I'm wondering--do the kids fight over WHO gets to ride up front or WHO doesn't have to ride in the back seat?

Does your kids look bigger riding in the Mini versus the Cherokee?

The kids hated the Cherokee simply because they permanently trashed it!!
They unfortunately appreciate the old geezer in the front trying to getting the wheels off the ground on a certain hump in the road on the way to school.. (I'm a fan of that hump in the road too)..

Yes they appear bigger in the Min' but look like giants in the new Fiat.....

To much fun is spent playing with the people driving the lifted Dodge Rams and Ford F250' too much fun..

Disaster struck this week... The wife's Murano is playing up and i've been booted out of the Min and have to return to the Jeep........ Bugger!!

What a great history of car ownership you have. Damn. My first car was an AMC Gremlin...
Watch out jumping them humps, unless you have some strut tower defenders! Or did MINI fix that issue?
