Hi Guys. i am new to the forums and am very interested in the spectacular new 2012 mini JCW coupe. I have had no problems on the options that I want but have found deciding on the exterior color combination a completely different story. My present car is an '06 DS/BLK MCS - which I picked for its more refined look

I seem to like the combination of a BLK roof and BLK mirrors for the coupe (it seems to provide a more flowing and proportioned view of the car and avoids , to some extent, the unattached, floating nature of the new roofline). Also, for the JCW version I think primary colors are more appropriate which has left me with 3 choices: MB/ CR stripes (although here I prefer chrome mirrors), CR/BLK stripes with BLK mirrors and PW/BLK stripes with BLK mirrors. All with 17 Challenge Spoke Wheels in BLK.

I have seen a few photos of all 3 combinations and the PW version at my dealer. Nevertheless, each time I see one of these combinations they look completely different in the showroom vs daylight vs bright sunlight or in the shade.

I realize that these are highly subjective and personal decisions but, if this is not a stupid or inappropriate post, I would really welcome all suggestions, comments, rationales because this is driving me crazy!!!!

Congrats on you new coupe! I hear ya on colors, I can't even decide what model to get yet! My vote would CR/BLK stripes!

 

For me, in Iowa, it's all about the bugs on the mirrors: which color partially hides them between car washes

Seriously, whatever choice you make, you will love. That little beast is going to shine in any shade
