Hi all, my name is Scott and I just purchaced my first mini a week ago ('08 Mellow Yellow Mini Hatchback). I'm a bit of an american muscle car guy and the mini was initially going to be an investment for my girlfriend and myself, as it is a salvage vehicle with front end damage, we got a good deal on it and were planning to repair it and sell it but it's really growing on us. Once I get it fully restored/repaired I know we'll keep it for a while and see if it will stay a member of the family. Looking forward to learning all I can about Mini's and the community. Find a local club - they can help you get it in shape and then go on some runs with them - you will be hooked....
Welcome to the unique feel of driving a MINI. I sold a BMW convertible and ordered my MCS convertible. Loved the BMW but the MINI is simply more fun to drive. Happy motoring.
