For those who already picked up their new MINI, I was just wondering if your MA actually spent some time with you explaining the manual a little and setting up your bluetooth, etc.? Or do you have to do that yourself?

I spent probably an hour at the dealership when I picked it up where my MA showed me basically every feature of the car.

When my husband picked his up, our MA spent as much time as we wanted going over how features worked, syncing his phone, and answering questions. Hope this helps!

Wouldn't hurt to ask, we were given an Appointment when we picked up Molly, MA went over the basics, I learned the rest by sitting in the car and going through the Manual myself. I think each MA is different, there may be a time constraint too, just be aware of that. Like I said it doesn't hurt to ask.

Our dealer attempted to show us every feature and did an O.K. job with it. There were some things he wasn't sure about, he guessed on some things.

I still had to figure most things on my own - but at least he meant well.

I better take copius notes. It just might be information overload. One good thing, I was able to get an electronic ( PDF) copy of the owners manual so I have had three months to learn and watching the videos in the owners lounge helped as well.

I concur with other responses. I think we spent about 30+ minutes in the car where he showed me some of the key features and quirky things. I still need to read my manual. I had started reading the PDF online, but I swear it started differently than the one I now have. It might be that mine starts with the Connected stuff?

I should add that it was late by this point, as I spent over an hour signing papers, going over warranty options, generally waiting for the sales and finance people to do their stuff.
