Future Mini Owner
Ive been a long time Mini lover and lurker to the forums here. With my current status of my car, I decided to pull the trigger and buy me a Mini! I happen to have a test drive to a Mini New to me. Im extremely excited for my test drive this coming week.

Yes, definitely look at the engine mount to the left of the engine.
1.press clutch in and quickly release it (while the engine is running and in neutral). See if you hear any clicking. This is not a real problem, but it could be a way to get the asking price lower.
2. Power steering fan, start the car and take a flash light to try and see if it is moving. Mine was seized when I bought my car. It looks like a computer fan between the front wheels.
Those are the two things I can think of off the top of my head that would need particular looking at. Just look at every possible thing that could be broken.
You can't see them, but you will need to replace the front control arm bushings soon (Powerflex, I suggest)
Also, I would suggest changing the cabin air, air, and fuel filters.
