We purchased our MINI Countryman base about a month ago in DFW. I have always been a domestic car owner but due to the fact they are designed to fail...I gave up. I am fed up with being nickel and dimed to death. I wanted a family car that was unique, reliable, and something I wouldn't see everywhere we went. I plan on being a MINI driver for many years to come. Plus, MINI's are just FRICKIN' COOL!!!!
The only real plans I have for it is a stubby antenna, window tint, and roof rack rails for the bikes.
Here is a picture of my wife's new ride!

After really looking the CM over the last few days, one thing that bothers me is the lack of clearance between the transmission and oil pans to the road surface. Is it just me, or are they a little exposed? Is there an aftermarket skid plate or lower engine cover available?
The other cool thing I've seen is the driving lights and the mounts! I think some black Hella's would look killer on the front.

I think SpringCity is near Odessa where my daughter lives. I know that after driving from Illinois to see her, you are probably concerned with clearance issues based on running over armadillos and tumbleweeds!
Geezzzz!!! Don't get me started on the frickin' Armadillos! I hit one in a dropped S-10 several years ago. Felt like I smashed into a Civil War era canon ball! O.o
