I have just replaced the power steering pump and fan as per an old post on this site. The instructions and photo's were easy to follow. Basically i saved a bunch of money. My local dealer wanted $1,500, the parts totaled around $650 and the whole thing has taken about 5 hours at a steady pace.

I do have a question regarding the fan. I bled the pump but notice the fan is not running. Before I go for a road test and over heat the pump again, can anbody tell me if the fan only works when the pump gets hot and not at inial start up.
