2011 MCS-engine warning lamp
2011 MCS-engine warning lamp
hi All,
Great forum, and learn a lot about Mini prior to purchase this one,
i just got it 2 weeks ago, and it looks awesome, however i realize when i turn the ignition on (engine is off), all the indication lamps turns on speedometer, and all went off after few seconds, except the engine warning lamp, it is a yellow outlined solid light,
more confusing is that once i turn on the engine, this lamp turns off and everything seems alright
i had already drive to my dealer and have them take a look, they say it is like this!
is that ture? should i be worry about this? i am new, so thanks in advanse
!!

Cheers.
It's part of the computer starting sequence, I am not sure if the 2nd gen do the same thing. But when I turn on the key, the check engine comes out and then the red light for the "Empty" line on the fuel gauge comes on. Once the red light turns back to amber, I start the engine because that is when I know the computer has started properly.
There is nothing to worry about.
There is nothing to worry about.
