2004 Cooper S with Mods lacking acceleration punch

I just recently purchased a 04 Cooper S with low millage and it is really lacking the punch of even a stock Cooper S. It has quite a few mods. Alta 15% pulley, Alta intercooler, GIAC tune, MSD coil pack, MSD 8.5mm wires and NGK plugs, Skunk 2 exhaust, and a K&N intake. So with all this I would expect it to at least feel slightly better than a stock Cooper S but comparing to 3 other 2004 – 2006 Cooper S’s I have driven in the last month, it’s not even as quick. Once it gets moving it’s good, making just shy of 15lbs of boost but the acceleration from a standstill and up to 3000RMP’s feels very sluggish. I was thinking it needs a custom map but the other cars I’ve test driven still have stock maps. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
