almost newbie questions

Had a couple of questions while waiting for my Country S, manual, Cosmic blue, to sail to the Pacific NW.

My last turbo was a 1994 Suburu and I recall the advice then to let the car idle a few moments after a hard run. Somewhere on the MINI site it said this was no longer necessary. Is this so?

Also, what are the break in[or should it be running in] restrictions?

Something to worry about for the next few weeks.

Thanks

To the best of my recollection...

I thought I read that Newer cars like the 2nd gen Mini, will continue to circulate the oil for a period after you shut the car off. This prevents some of the heat issues that use to happen.
Keep the RPMs < 3,000 for the first 2,500 miles? Your MA will tell you when you pick up the car.

I think the break in restrictions are in the owners manual.
You can download an owners manual PDF from: https://ol.miniusa.com/
Use your VIN or production number to create an account on OL.

Thanks for your response. I'll have the owner's manual memorized by the time I get the car.
