aceleration hesitation

I Have An 09 R57 S Converitble With Automatic. The Throttle Is Slow To React Off The Line, Creating A Hesitation. This Occurs Again When Slowing Down, Foot Off Pedal And Then Wanting To Speed Up. Is It Me, The Car, Or My Imagination?

Could be the fly by wire hesitation that's inherent of these cars. activate the sport button and see if it goes away.

^^^ what Raven and 10Zero said. That doesn't sound normal at all. Does it act that way with the sport button both on and off?

My Clubman (justa) auto does that. I haven't noticed so much 'off the line', but it there is a scary hesitation when like passing a slow truck.
In those situations I put it in sport mode (DS) via the shift lever and the hesitation goes away. I go back to normal (D) after the passing or whatever as the sport mode forever holds the tranny in 5th with RPM's high.

Also give manual shifting a try...
