New Mini owner

Thank you all for the welcome. I now need to ask for advise.
I live in New York and traveled to Maryland to purchase my Mini. I did buy from a Mini lot but a large dealer with a good reputation. On the trip home after about 100 miles the "service engine light soon" came on.
The dealer that sold me the car advised to go to a Mini dealer and they would cover the cost.
Fast foward to the Mini dealer, after the initial diagnostic work the service maneger told me that the obd codes had to do with oxegen senser alarms. He also told me that the car has an after market "free flow" header installed and that could be the problem.
Further investigation turned up a vacum line on the air box being lose causing a lean condition. This was repaired and the errors cleared.
All was good for 300 miles. Now the service engine light is on again. The car seems to run well, just as before.
So I will go back to the dealer. Is it possible that this after market header causing the problem? They have already suggested that I may need a stock "S" header to fix the problem. Anyone have any experience with anything like this?
Thanks
