New to the Forum not new to modding (jeep owner) 2nd owner of a 05 B.R. Green r50. Have had it for 7 months and the shift cables decided it was time for a visit to the mini dealer. Check the forums to see what I had really broke. Will post a pic when my ISP gets it head outta it rear end. Just moved to a new apartment.

Oh yeah Its an american spec mini in germany.... long story.

So the story about how I'm living in Germany...

Way back in 99' all my "friends" were getting arrested I decided to do something and get out of my home town. I joined the Army and headed to basic. I originally enlisted for 4 years ... 10 years later (7 months in kosovo, 14 months Iraq 1st time and 17 months 2nd time.) I decided it was time to walk. During that time in the army I met a wonderful woman and got married, She's German and a nurse, so when I did get out she took care of me financially, until I became unlazy and got a job. Now I'm a Loss Prevention Detective for AAFES and love my job, my apartment, and my car (well now I'm waiting for my new 11' MCS)

 

Great story, good women are hard to find. I was a fortunate fellow too.
