Lucky guy!
Lucky guy!
My wife bought a used MCS about a year and a half ago. She's now 8 months pregnant, and is having some entry/access issues...so we've decided that while she's uncomfortable she'll drive my Pilot, and I'll drive her Mini!
I'm also a little excited about the soon to be arriving baby!
Glad to find this place! This is now my "go to" site for Mini info.

That is the most unique way that I have heard of a husband managing to wangle driving his wife's MINI!
Enjoy it while you have it and I second the motion of shopping for a Countryman or Clubman in place of the Pilot.

I'll try to post a photo of the mini soon. I actually just found the original window sticker, so I was able to confirm that the color is Electric Blue Metallic with white roof and mirrors.
When my wife bought the car, I really didn't understand what all the excitement was about. After driving it for a couple of days, I'm hooked! Hopefully, she'll let me drive it for a while!

Oops! Forgot to add that! It's a 2003, with about 48,000 miles. It's in great shape cosmetically. We've only had a few repairs necessary to pass inspection, so we're thinking that the prior owner was pretty easy on it.
And don't forget to go motoring with the new one! I know it gets a little cramped with the rear facing seat, but we had great success with a Britax Diplomat. And now that she is front facing, our little princess loves to go motoring. Sadly she also likes the smell of wax

I'm sure we'll take her out for the occassional drive! We've got carseat bases for both vehicles, so we're set.
The smell of wax comment reminded me of one of my funniest/most embarassing moments today, when I read on the sticker that the seats were leatherette...and I had just rubbed them down last week with a leather treatment. Of course, the leatherette really does feel like leather!

.that's better than my daughter who loves the smell of gasoline and Meguiar's Quik Detailer.
