Introduction to NAM
Introduction to NAM
So I have been driving trucks/Jeeps most of my life and when the current ride reached 11 yrs old and 140K I decided it was time for something new(er). I did a lot of soul searching and asked myself what I really wanted in a car. Hmmm...
.
I have owned the car for 3 weeks now, and the bond grows tighter with each press of the start button. The reaction from my female friends was predictable but appreciated. "It's sooo Cute!" When I told my guy friends, the response was a lot of raised eyebrows and questions like "what the heck were you thinking?". That is, until I would take them for a ride or let them drive it...
I am already considering some mods. The first thing I want to do is get some visibility into what is going on under the hood. I need to know how hot, how much boost, and how many volts at a minimum. I also found the description "Prince of Darkness" in some of the forum posts here and am considering lighting upgrades so I am open to any advice/experience that NAM members wish to share.
So hello to all, and I look forward to being a part of this community.
Cheers,
Chris
- Has to be fun to drive
- Has to have lots of torque and acceleration
- Has to get really good gas mileage
- Has to be different from every other ho-hum car out there

Welcome to the world of MINI; it's a lot bigger than most people know. In case you haven't already found it, here's a link to the R56 mod section:

Welcome to NAM and the world of MINI. Hopefully you will be like a lot here and have a long and enjoyable membership.
Can't wait to see what mods you do. And what name your MINI ends up with (even those who have no intention of naming their MINI can't resist, sometime they just name themselves
).
