Welcome, As for the manual there currently isn't a repair manual available for the R55, R56, or R57.

 

Thanks, but where does Way Motor Works go for the info you need? Are there after market shop manuals worth the money?

 

Well I have the training manuals for All the MINI's since I use to work for MINI. Then if I need instructions or specs I just call one of my friends that still works at MINI and they hook me up.

As for aftermarket manuals for the R56 there isn't any avail. When they do the Bentley manuals are the best.

 

Thanks, You're definitely well connected. I just checked Bentley, and the 2011 manuals aren't out yet, but their web site says they should be soon. I expect it could be a good while, but I'll keep checking. I'm out of town, but we have a local Mini club, Endicott, NY, and I'll check with the members when I get back. Thanks.

 

Probably at the end of 2011 when 2008 MINIs warranty begin to expire and people begin to do their own maintenance work.
