East Coast newb
New to the forum, new to the scene, new owner of a Mini, but not new to the auto world. After many many years building and racing VW's and more recently Subarus I just bought my firs Mini. After three complete motor builds in my 02 Sti swapped WRX wagon I finally was ready for a change...My lady always comments on every Mini we pass and since I basically took all the "daily driveability" out of the subaru by building motors capable of 550hp, i decided it was time to make her happy. So being near christmas and her being away in CA I sold my STi wagon on Sunday and bought this on Monday. (she has NO clue. her plane lands tonight at midnight and this is in the garage, they even gave me a big red bow)

its an 09' and of course it had to be an S and it had to be 6 speed. I was researching them for about 2 weeks were i learned they went from SC to turbo in 07 (i was always a turbo guy so this was great news). im really looking forward to tuning it a little. its already really fun as it is
