Another new Mini Owner
Just checking in. I took delivery of a 2011 Chilli Red Mini Cooper S Thursday evening from a dealer in Willoughby, Ohio.
I had recently traded in our two 2003 Honda Elements on a new 2010 so my wife would be able to continue traveling in "crate style" with Bella, her Border Collie. I was resigned to drive something different as long as it could get close to 40 mpg to make up for the Element's less-than-stellar 24 mpg.
I test drove a Prius, a Yaris, a Fit and the new Ford Fiesta. All adequate for the price, but I wanted more of a fun factor. Started researching the Mini Cooper and concluded that I would get more SPG (smiles per gallon) along with great mpg. I don't regret the choice one bit, except for the fact that my wife likes it a bit too much as well!

Watch out...our 2-MINI family had a similar start. Dogs love MINIs too so you might want to show her the configurator...or find a serious hidind spot for your MINI keys.
