Greetings from Morro Bay!

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!

A 2009 JCW MCS followed me home last Friday and I adopted her. What an absolute joy to drive! I'm looking forward to learning more about my car, maintenance and performance enhancements as well as connecting with other kindred spirits here on NAM.

Morro Bay

Just left Morro Bay a few days ago in a loner Clubman S. My 2011 is at the dealer with module issues, but the car is so fun to drive. Only regret was that I couldn't take corners faster because my dog would get slammed around in his crate. Love my Mini. Love Morro Bay!

Welcome to the club!
I went to cal poly and was in morro bay quite a bit. I actually took my gf from sf back there to propose (at the inn at Morro Bay)
What a great area to have a MINI! I rode motorcycles in college but I've been back several times in a MINI and it's beautiful driving country.

MB is a great place to live, and Motoring up highway 1 to Big Sur is breathtaking. But in a Mini it is a whole level higher on the awesomeness scale!

My Grand parents had a little beach house in Cayucos when I was a kid, & to this day MB & Cayucos is where the madness stops in my head. I'm in Fresno now, but in ten years that's where you'll find me & my Mini - even if it's in a trailer (has to be a cool vintage trailer though.) Congrats thirdrail

Thanks and congrats! I hoped your fiancee liked the area too.

I too went to Poly. I worked in the bay area and then in L.A., but have always loved the slo-life. I am actually on my way up to the east bay today for Thxgiving with my parents.

Next time there is a trip to Morro or anywhere on the coast, I'd love to meet everyone.
I am still a noob as far as my Mini is concerned.

What a great area. I lived in SLO when I worked at Diablo Canyon for a few years. Lots of great road trips via Morro Bay up the coast. Today would be a great day for a piece of Madonna Inn cake!

I love the 58 all the way out to the 5.
There is also a road off the 58 that is a blast, the 229 I think.

Hi rlee627,
We have a Mini Cooper Club in the area if you are interested. We are called Central Coast Mini Coopers (CCMC). We do drives about every other month. Our November drive was up Hwy 1 to Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd than across Nac-Ferg to Mission San Antonio de Padua. December 18th we are going to the Melodrama. We do not have regular meetings or dues. We have a email distribution list that we use to notify people about events.
If interested, send me a Private Message (PM) with your email address and name and I will email you with more information about the club.

very considerate, but maybe put him/her in the front seat and make sure he/she fastens the safety belt!
