New to NAM w/pictures of a small mod

Just thought I would say hello. I just bought a 2009 red justa and made a couple of small mods. One is the small antenna and the other one is an
idea I read about. I thought it would be neat to make up the cup holder inserts, using engravable 1/16 plastic and engraved the mini logo on it. Heres a couple of pictures.

Unfortunately He can't sell the MINI logo like that, otherwise MINI usa will take him to court. This recently happened to a friend of mine, and he wasn't even using the logo. They have way too many lawyers bothering small businesses.

He could do it with a licensing agreement with MINI, I hardly think the market for such a thing would justify the legal fees for setting up the agreement.

welcome and yes, that is one really nice idea. My mini is about two weeks old, and I am tired of looking at the screws at the bottom of the cup holders.

I can to try to talk to mini USA about trying to make some of these up for anyone interested in them. I have received nothing but really good comments
From people here and people I've shown them to where I live. I can however
make some up with anything on them you want, just as it's not copy writed, at least if I hear back from mini. I can do them in most color combos. If anyone is interested here leave me a message.

Very nice! I'd buy them...and maybe even one to go in the little compartment in front of the cupholders and something to go under the hand-brake...just MINI-out the interior. Great job. It's the enthusiasm and all these little "mods" that make the MINI community so awesome.

Those are very nice. What would the cost be?

As Way said MINI/BMW may have their lawyers talk to you. I would do the right thing & ask for permission rather than just do it & ask for forgiveness. I believe the former is the way to go. MINI/BMW is just protecting their property.

I also think you could come up with other designs that folks would like to buy.

Good luck with your project & welcome to NAM.
