My 2011 Mini Cooper S Has Arrived!!!

Hello NAM,

So my 2011 Mini Cooper S has finally arrived (well it arrived Saturday but I am finally getting around to posting lol)! Picked it up and what an amazing experience. The process was so stress free and my MA was so patient and helpful with all the questions I have had. I have done nothing but drive around and its hard not letting the tach go past 4500 RPM's. Soon enough though it will be finally broken in haha Here are some pictures below that I took of my new baby! (still haven't thought of a name yet). Thank you all on the forum for all your helpful replies and advice whenever I had a post or question. You guys are all awesome! Let me know what you guys think of the pics!!!

2011 Laser Blue Mini Cooper S

-Sport Package

vehicles I have owned and the traffic I face, it was time for a change).

-Chrome line interior

-Roof and mirror caps in black

-Center Armrest

-Anthracite headliner

-Color line carbon black

-Interior color carbon black

Congrats! Glad you had a good delivery experience. Isn't it awesome that the minute you drive it the wait that seemed so long and stressful becomes so insignificant? Enjoy...you spec'd out a beautiful MINI.

Welcome to the forum, good looking MINI. While I'm not really fond of the effort, maybe you should think about a blackout of the chome items on the car, with the black top, mirrors, and wheels it might be a nice touch. Add some black viper stripes front and rear, might just do the trick.

Thanks to everyone for the nice compliments and input! I love that everyone is so friendly on this site, and definitely gave me a big welcome. This is only my 4th day with the MINI and I am in love. I was worried how I would react with what appears to be a very small car, but I myself feel the inside is so roomy, and everyone agrees. Cant answer for the backseat, but I will never be riding in the back so who cares lol... I am just stumped on a name. Does it have to be a girl being that I am male, or does it even matter haha. Can't wait till it is broken in and I can really see what this car is all about.

Anyone on this forum in New Mexico or even Albuquerque? Looking to connect with fellow MINI owners.

Also, I am a little over a half a tank of gas in my car, and wanted to get input from you guys, or if you can direct me to a thread that talks about the best gasoline to put in these cars. I do know that the gas has to be premium for sure, but I am not too sure as to what company to go to. In New Mexico the major ones we have are Chevron, Shell, Valero (the new Diamond Shamrock here), Texaco, Circle K, and some others I am sure I am forgetting. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again!!!

Try to use 91 octane at the minimum, 93 if you can find it. Lots of threads here re: brands of gas that you can find via Search. Personally, I put faith in the big names, but favor Shell. I've heard good thing about Chevron too which would be my second choice.

Here's a thread that has some good secondary links too.

that is one sweet looking mcs!

i use only top tier gas but most importantly look at the surrounding of the gas station - is it dirty or clean. does the station look modern or old? i will never pump gas on any gas station that doesn't look clean. also, will not stop by one that looks old with the possibility of having old storage system.

Thanks! I appreciate it. It was hard ordering and not being able to see what it looks like, but like I said I love it, and am completely happy with the way the car came!!! What's the headlight Joey modded (sorry still a newbie lol)? So what are you takes on shell gasoline and would V power be the best? I would have to say out of all the gas stations here, shell looks the nicest, and chevron coming in second.

Looks really great with all the black. And, yes those blackened headlights lookd cool. I wanted them, but they're not available on the JCW for some odd reason. Mine's on the way.
