Hey all,

Just bought an Electric Blue MINI Cooper S, 2003, with black top/mirrors. Has DSC, Xenon lights, heated leather seats, cruise, MFSW, cd changer, etc. The only things it doesn't have that I wanted were HK sound, ipod hookup (for my iphone), and moon roof.

I have been drooling over the S since it was released in the states, but have been shopping them off and on since 2006. I finally got to a point where I could pick one up at what I hope is a good price. Lucky me that I managed to get the color combo I wanted (well, I would have been happy with Black Eye Purple too!)

Came over from a 2000 VW GTI turbo (cosmic green) which I put 205k miles on; have always bought VW before. Liking the change and glad so far for the switch. If I see you in your MINI, I'll wave hello!

Veggievet, I am really glad I got the electric blue with a black top. A couple of years back I drove a monotone EB, which seemingly is hard to find. I really liked that but I think I like the black top even more. I'm less a fan of the EB with a white top, but that's just me.

I really like the color options MINI has. I do think I've got the best color combo. But there are some other good ones.

And, if oxygen blue came on an S, I'd strongly consider it. I really like OB and don't know why it's not an S color.

 

Good choice on the color, but you should have picked a white roof. Welcome to the forums anyway.

EB is the most dynamic color, changing with the weather, light, and dirt levels.
