2006 S Convertible Newbie here
2006 S Convertible Newbie here
Hey everyone,
I am new to the sight as well as mini coopers. I had fallen in love with minis ever since they were introduced in 2002. I was lucky enough to test drive one in Peabody MA (huge waiting list) and have been yearning for one since. Now that my finances got better, I dove in head first with a 2006 Cool Blue Metallic Cooper S convertible. It is certified by Mini with only 38K miles. the only options that it is missing is the cold weather package as well as the JCW. I have to say that the memories came rushing back to me from my first test drive back in 2002 and is still a thrill to drive. Even more so as this is the first convertible I had even owned as well. I am happy to find this forum/web site as I want to ensure the best experience with my mini.
Cheers!
Chad

What is the best mod for the supercharger. Looking for something effective but not too much money and would not void the MINI NEXT program.

Welcome to the madness
the mods for the supercharger are either a 15 or 17% pulley reduction. it may void your warranty though. depends on the dealer you use. check out this website for a more local club http://nemini.org

I checked out the Windbox and most of it looks great except for the see through plastic that is placed on the mini's roll bars. I am assuming that i would not need to use that portion of it. I am also watching a few wind blockers on eBay but they seem to sell for around or above $275.00. I will be putting the K&N cone as well as a 15% reduction but found out that my warranty would become void so now i have to wait.
