Im a fairly new Mini owner, and I just installed a new Whalen Shift Machine shift **** on my 2008 MCS. Doug Whalen is awesome. It took a grand total of 7 days to go from concept to delivery installation of my custom engraved shift ****. I told him what i wanted, and he made it happen! It's all stainless(high polish and brushed), and weighs about 18 oz. It has a quick-connect feature and reduces the overall length of the OEM shifter. The added weight makes running through the gears "feel" smoother. Quality and finish are outstanding. Check him out. You will not be disappointed.
