newb, looking at 2005 mini S convertible
Hey,
I've been a long time member of bimmerforums and am pretty familiar with BMWs. My wife is about to buy a 2005 Mini Cooper S convertible with 80,000 miles. I figured it was time to sign up over here.
Hopefully I can get some input on how to go about making the purchase (from a Mercedes dealer) regarding anything to watch out for? We need to make sure the top works, I'm sure....
Thanks for your input!

A convertible with 80K calls for a careful inspection of everything including the top. Would take the car to a MINI competent tech for a thorough checkup. You are getting into the age mileage wise that a lot of things may need now or very shortly attention, some of it possibly major. Spend the time and some money to make sure this is a sound investent.
