New Cooper, New Questions

Hey everyone,

I just bought an r53 with 40k miles on it, and was wondering: Does the bluetooth feature in the steering wheel work automatically if I sync my phone to it, or do I have to pay an activation price to get it started up?

And where can I find a decent cat-back for under six hundo? I looked up the ALTA v1 Cat Back, but they're out of production, and it seems like no-one is looking to get rid of 'em.

The R53 steering wheel buttons dont work unfortunately.... Your car does not have bluetooth.

I actually might have a V1 Catback very soon. We have a shop R53 that we are reverting back to stock. The exhaust was used less than a few thousand miles.. Ill keep ya posted!

Good luck with your new (to you) MINI!

As far as the exhaust, you can also keep an eye on the Marketplace here on this site; you may be able to score a gently used exhaust over there that will suit your needs.

Jarid,

That would be awesome, man. If you get that exhaust, please let me know as soon as you do, and I'll buy it.

Thanks

Hey Minimax, it sounds like Jarid has you fixed up on exhaust, but just in case it doesn't work out, Invidia is decent for the money. http://www.minituner.com/products/?&productID=447

Happy motoring!

Get the invidia exhaust. You'll love it. Sporty tone. Not too loud. Titanium blued tips accent it well.

Jarid,

If and when you get that V1 Cat-Back, what would your asking price be?

And again, thanks so much for letting me know of the possible hook up.
