Hello from a new Mini owner

Hello all. I am a new (as of last Saturday) Mini owner and I am loving it. I have a 2010 Mini Cooper S in British Racing Green with a black top and black bonnet stripes.

I pretty much decided about four weeks ago that I needed to replace an aging Corolla and I don't like many of the cars on the market today, especially since I want a standard transmission. The Mini was my first choice within a day or two of beginning my search, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

It rained yesterday and I already have a burning desire to get it washed. I'm sure this is only the beginning of my obsession with caring for my Mini.

I am looking forward to reading the forums here. Anyway, here is a picture:

Hi there and welcome to the family! I always liked the BRG on the newer MINI's ... Do you have any future mods in mind or just enjoying the new car smell for now?

Thanks! Just enjoying the smell for now.

Regarding mods, I am not much of a grease monkey and am too busy with two kids to tinker much. About the only mods I am considering would be purely aesthetic in nature - Irish flags on the sunroof and mirror caps (and maybe the door handles). Still, I have no idea where to start, so it'll probably be a while.

Still, I absolutely love the car.

Looking good! About the only mods I'd do are either super simple to do myself (like stickers or floormats) or I can have someone else do for a modest sum (like the roof graphic I am about to have installed).

Hey, Eireannach, welcome to the CLUB--MINIs (of course) and NAM! That's a fine-looking MINI you've got there. Tell us more about it and you! Have you had your indoctrinational Motoring adventure yet? Once you do, it'll probably be hard to park it again, but we all understand!

Happy Motoring!

Thanks. I am pretty pleased with it. I had gone through the "build your own" exercise on the Mini website and the configuration I wanted was nearly the same as the model they had on the floor. It has three of the four packages (not the convenience pack), and I really couldn't ask for more. I have already taken it on a nice drive from Denver to Estes Park in the mountains here, and I absolutely love it. I cannot remember thinking that about a car before.

Thanks. Schomp was a pleasure to deal with. They have some great people working there and they know how to make their clients happy.

Sure blows away those two Dud cars parked across the street!! I had BRG in a Jaguar S-Type once. Awesome color and should be reserved for British cars only.

Ha ha, well those cars belong to a nice family, so I won't fault them too much. Anyway, I love the color and it was my first choice.
