JCW TK

Hi all!

I am waiting for my Dark Silver S w/ auto trans to arrive at the port next week. Any thoughts on the JCW Tuning Kit? Worth the money? Should I have it installed now rather than later? Thanks in advance for your input.

I'm saving up for the tuning kit, it's going to be a birthday present for myself. There are those who'll say that going after market is more cost effective...more bang for your buck. There are those who say they like the idea of a tune that keeps your warranty, and some like the fact that you get some JCW badges with your $$$. I personally want to go with the warranty-friendly JCW stage 1 now, and if a few years later I decide that I want to keep my car and not get something newer, I'll probably go aftermarket. I think whatever you feel comfortable with is the correct choice.

For the most part, I think most people will say that besides the cost, there's nothing wrong with going the JCW route. I heard an S with the stage 1 kit one time and loved the sound (not too loud, but loud enough) and boy was he fast!

Sorry I don't have any first hand experience. Good luck!

Drive your new S for awhile then due the JCW kit. It will allow you to appreciate the difference. I for one am for staying with the factory parts and warrenty. My Dad did this route to his 08 MCS auto and was VERY happy with the increases.

I agree, drive it awhile first. An "S" is pretty peppy to start with, you might change your mind about adding a JCW kit for now.
