Hello from Western Washington

My wife and I bought a new Chili Red Mini Cooper S Clubman on Saturday. We went to the dealer to look at them and drive one, we wern't planning on buying just yet, but my wife said, "They're like puppies! You can't leave without one!"

I'd designed one on the MiniUSA site. But bought one off the lot. It has more options than the one I built on the Mini site, so it cost a little more, but not much. They were having a May promotion and we got the automatic at no extra charge, bringing it close to the price of my Mini site built one.

We went there thinking we wanted a BRG one. But they had a Red Mini parked next to a Green one and we changed our minds right away.

The sales staff at NW Mini were very frendly, no pressure at all. This was the first brand new car we've bought. I'd been terrified of buying from a dealer, but it turned out to be a pleasant experience.

Dave

Welcome Dave! I love your wife's quote about the MINIs being like puppies (I'm surprised you ended up with only one.)! Good for you for just going for it--glad you found one that will fit your needs and then some.

Have a great time and many adventures in that MINI!

We, too, have a Clubman S; we love the car and so will you. I did add fron and rear mudflats and, IMO, they add some character to the car. I also changed out the OEM brake pads and installed Carbo Tech Bobcats 1521s. Much less brake dust with no noticeable difference in stopping capability. Have fun!

Welcome to the forum, when ever you go to look at cars make sure you have a must keep appointment or you will become a buyer, it's so easy to fall in love with a MINI.

Welcome Dave from a Western Washingtonian as well. I was not so lucky as you and ran out of the store with 2. We originally went in to test drive for my wife, replacing her Toyota, but after I drove one I had to have one as well. I'm glad I bought them both. They have been great so far.

Enjoy your car.

Regards,

Pat

Hi Dave and welcome to NAM from the metropolis of Covington! I also had a great experience purchasing my MINI from NW MINI in January. Nice folks to work with, very patient with all my questions, and no hard sell - the product sells itself. I was also set on BRG but ended up with a Laser Blue and don't regret it one bit. Congrats on your new ride and I'll wave at you if I see you!
