Midnight Black Mini Cooper S
Midnight Black Mini Cooper S
Received my Midnight Black Mini Cooper S about a week ago and after learning to appreciate the important quirks of this car, I couldn't be happier. Specs are as follows:
2010 Mini Cooper S Hardtop in Midnight Black Metallic with black roof
Leather Gravity Tuscan Beige
Convenience Package (w/Comfort Bluetooth and USB/iPod adpater)
Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
Sport Package (w/17" crown spoke alloy wheels and all-season tires)
Steptronic Automatic Transmission (argue away, but living in a city, I've done both and auto saves me a lot of headache. Oh, and wifey doesn't drive stick--maybe that's the real reason
)
Interior Surface English Oak
Rear Fog Lamp
Navigation System
HD Radio
Satellite Radio w/ 1 year subscription
I purchased this through Passport MINI of Alexandria (VA) as there is no dealer in DC. Didn't love my experience with them, but my MINI looks and feels good, so I won't dwell on the bad stuff.
I'm waiting for the tuscan beige auto shifter to get in to Passport to complete the tuscan beige look. Also awaiting a couple more magnetic badges that I custom ordered through Cooper Flags and a 4" shorty from Alta. Other than that, ceramic tinting, a boot box and moving the handfree mic to the driver's side (really easy) are the only things I've added or modded so far.
I'm moving over from an '07 Acura TSX and so far so good! More pics to follow.

These are some of my blacked out sunroof. Wasn't a big fan of the sun beating down on my fair-skinned wife when motoring, so I ordered some opaque black decals for the sunroof from Cooper Flags. The guy who tinted my windows applied these for free.
More pics of the interior and one where I tried to show the difference between the ceramic tinted driver's side window and front windshield with no tinting. There's not much difference in terms of clarity and visibility, but it really makes a difference when the sun is strong--much cooler and less glare. I never had ceramic tinting before, but so far, I'm a big fan
