Cannot decide on a color!

I really wish the Mini looked like crap in some colors so I could make up my mind more easily. I've gone from Horizon Blue to Black to Chili Red. I have decided against the red as I'd like to keep from being a ticket target. I am trying to decide between black, HB and dark silver. Why does it seem like most dark silvers are owned by men? Or do I have that wrong?
The more I look, the more confused I get.

While it's true the red would be perfect for Hell and the black would also go along quite well, I think the black would make it too hot for me- as if that was possible.
I can only wish I had a chance at 02 Blue.

I've got my dark silver on order... Still go back and forth between happy with the choice and wishing I'd got black. I love the look of black cars, but the DS shouldn't be quite as hot and won't show dirt as much between washings (mine's to be a dd / commuter).

If money and practicality were no object I'd go with a black Camden S with the JCW aero kit.

Red was originally in the running, but around here there are just too many red MINIs.

I had the same dilemma as grueinthebox, I love black cars but as a daily driver having to keep the DS looking clean is already a chore. I couldn't even imagine trying to keep a black car clean. There are a couple of black GTI's in my parking garage and when they're clean they're pretty sexy looking machines, but most of the time they look gray/brown - yuck! I kind of like the horizon blue, but I'm really happy with my dark silver.

There can never be too many Chili Red MINI's! I don't think mine looks too bad even when it's been a while between wash jobs.

Laser Blue for the win.

Now that is a great color and a great picture of my car if I do say so myself.

When I first even thought about getting a new car I wanted a black one. And then, one by one, everyone I knew with a black car told me they'd never buy another black car again because of all the dirt and damage it shows.

I rarely see Mini's around here. My friend has an older red convertible but I don't know what year. I never see the DS's. I think, like you, because of the dirt/heat issues, I'll be going with the DS. Now the question is to stripe or not to stripe?

I know exactly what you mean. I have a light silver car now and because of all the pollen in the air, the car just looks terrible. I was going to have it detailed before I went to look at the Mini but I figured it would just become re-pollinated. It's so bad that I left work the other day and there was a little hand print on my car from where a child touched it.

And I really love how it looks with black stripes. But I know I'll be pulled over regularly in it. I had one very bad speeding ticket and I'd like to keep it at that, just 1. I don't think I stand a chance in a red car here.

I didn't see gold. I think I saw something that looked beige- I don't mean the pepper white color. Maybe it was sand something?

It does look good but I just don't see myself in laser blue. Must have something to do with the reformed goth thing.

Sparkling Silver maybe? I can't decide between that, Dark Silver or Pepperwhite myself.

I think you're right. I think that is the sparkling silver. One thing that bothers me, and it might be petty, but I don't understand why the majority of the colors are metallic and therefore have an extra $500 charge. It's not like we're picking from custom colors. I think $500 for a color they already offer is a bit much.

I wouldn't dismiss red out of a fear of tickets... I drove a red Miata for years and never seemed to draw any added attention from law enforcement. Got pulled over once for no front plate (Sunday early morning, little traffic on the freeway), but no tickets.

It is a shame. Yet they keep the color swatch hanging up in the showroom. Maybe it can still be had but on another model.

I think you're lucky. Sometimes the police here are not nice to say the least. And my PBA card expired.

Yeah, the $500 is kinda silly for a stock color. I went exploring today on local car lots and found a Pepper White Justa w/black roof. Sparkling Silver is gonna have to really knock my socks off to make me move off the PW.

It occurred to me that I'd seen a dark silver one a couple of weeks ago and it's nice, but I like the PW better.

Then again, the dark blue & silver JCW I saw I could learn to live with too.

But, I've never owned a brand new car and I need to do that before I die, so I'm probably going to order one when the time comes.

It's available on the Clubman and convertible models only, for some reason.

Pepper white is a nice color. And I thought about that too. But then I think something me is more of a flashy color. That's also the me that's desperately trying to hold on to my youth.

Honestly, I wish there was a car on the lot that had all the options I wanted. Then it wouldn't have mattered what color it was as long as it had the options. That's how I ended up with my silver Civic.

Now that's very annoying to me. It's not even available on the Clubman S. It has to be the Justa.
