Hi I'm new here

Hey all.

I've lusted after Minis for years. Unfortunately, I bought a Honda Civic as my last car rather then the Mini back in '03. Since I need to switch from stick to automatic, I'm in the market for a new car. I've been considering the Subaru Outback but I'm reading some things about the new models that are making me uncomfortable. This brings me back to the second lust of my life, the Mini.

As far as the Mini goes, I'm considering the Cooper S and the Clubman S. Does anyone want to weigh in with pros and cons of either if you've recently bought a 2010 model?

Thanks!

I bought a 2010 MCS and I can honestly say I've never loved getting up in the morning to do my commute until now. My wife got her 2010 MCS a month before I did and we both "argue" over which MINI gets to go out.

A couple weeks ago we had to drop her MINI off at the dealership and they gave us a Clubman loaner. It was the first time either of us drove one and we both really liked it. It felt pretty much just like the Hardtop, but there was room to sit comfortably in the back seats. My wife actually liked it so much that she's considering getting one as her next car.

We don't carry passengers very often, so the Hardtop is perfect for us. But if you think you'll need to carry that third or fourth person then you might want to check out the Clubman.

Thanks so much for the info. The only passenger that may be in the back seat is our Rottweiler. Now she's a big girl and loves to be in the back of the Civic. But since this will be my new car, I don't really want her in there. I know, I'm a bad mommy. She can ride in her daddy's Corolla.

Accidents?

Seriously, we're lucky his Corolla wasn't one of the ones recalled. That's his baby. I can't wait to see all that dog hair all over it.

Well good luck with getting the Rottweiler to accept the no ride policy. She won't be happy but I can understand your feelings. Convince her that Toyota's are more fun.

We just 1 week ago bought a 2010 Clubman, funny we traded an 08 Subaru Impreza Outback sport, it was a nice car, although it just wasn't me, my nickname for it was "the rental car". Considering it's been a week we have no regrets and I forsee in the future we will be a 2 mini family, hard to pry the keys out of my hubby's hand

I think she'll be ok once she sticks her head out the window.

Congrats on your new Clubman!
Hopefully, it will work out for me. I'm going to test drive on Tuesday so I'll decide which Mini to go with then.
