Just picked up a 05 convertible S with 24k miles and a 6 speed. Being 6'3" and having a son who is 6'6" I'm shocked at how much room there is (and so are my friends when they see us get out!). We did have to remove the cup holder as it rubbed his leg. I, in theory, got this for my daughter and will be her first car. She is an extremely cautious driver but has never driven a stick. The car didn't come with much documentaion so I was wondering if there are any maintenace issues I should look for and at what milage. I'm 300 miles from the closest dealer so I'll be doing anything within my capabilities. Also what do most people use on the black trim and convertible top? Thanks in advance, Bruce

I use 303 Top Protectant for the top & I use Black Wow on the trim.

Welcome to the forum and I hope you 2 guys will actually let the daughter have the car, that can sometimes can become a problem here in MINIland.

 

I don't have a convertible but I use mother's back to black and know a bunch of people that use the black wow.
